Mama and Papa can’t believe that you are already 1 month old today! It doesn’t seem like that long ago I was yelling at your papa to get out of the shower so we could go to the hospital to meet you. It has been such an exciting month having you finally here, we couldn’t be happier!
Your papa was only able to take a little bit of time off of work because he just got a promotion and has a lot of stuff to learn. We miss him during the day but we’re pretty proud of him. Plus we get extra snuggles and play time when he’s gone, so I can’t complain. 🙂 I’m excited to have the next few months to spend with you before I have to go back to work.
We spend most of the day exploring and taking naps. It’s tough work being a newborn! You are a really good sleeper, except when we want to go to bed then you like to play – especially when Papa comes home from work late and wants to play. Every day you are alert more and more and interact with us more and more. Today you gave papa the biggest smile. I’m pretty sure his heart melted.
You love listening to music, especially Eddie Vedder and the blues. Whenever a song starts that you like, you stop what you’re doing and have the most content look on your face. It’s absolutely adorable. You also love being carried in the Moby wrap. We went for a long walk today and you just snuggled right up and slept the entire way.
You still aren’t so sure that you like baths, although today you didn’t cry until we were almost done. You love it once you’re out and wrapped up in your cozy towel though, I’m pretty sure we could wrap you up in a towel all day and you wouldn’t mind one bit.
You’ve met so many of our family and friends so far, and they all adore you. The first thing everyone says is how much they love your hair. You have just as much hair now as you did when you were born, and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. It’s pretty adorable when you wake up in the morning with your papa’s bed head.
I can’t wait to watch you grow, sweet girl. You are already full of so much personality, I can’t wait to watch it emerge even more. You make us laugh everyday, and you have even started to smile back at us when we talk to you and giggle in your sleep. It’s going to be awesome to hear your first real laugh.
Happy One Month Birthday, Miss Millie! We love you so much!
